Don't have the hand history yet but I had been picking some decent spots to steal at my table since i was about tied for chips with 5200 until a new guy came and sat to my left with around 7k. I open a pot for 500 with blinds of 100/200 with t8s in late position and he calls me from the cutoff.
Flop jtx rainbow and i lead 600 (too small into 1300?). Turn is a 9 putting 2 diamonds on the board, and I figure he probably has me beat here but I want to see this river as I potentially have a lot of outs and he may try to take the pot away with a worse hand if i check. I bet 450 and check river when its a blank. Where do i give up or play faster in this hand?
