Hi. I have a question about the following sentence on SSH:
"With an overpair you usually have eight outs to beat someone with two pair, and with top pair you can have up to nine."
I get the overpair case but i can't think of any example where you have nine outs with top pair. ANy help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Say you hold KJ, your opponent K7 and the board is K798. Then you can catch 3 Js, 3 8s or 3 9s to win.

If you have AK versus A3 on an AT63 rainbow board, you can win by catching any of the remaining kings, tens, or sixes.

You forgot 4 Ts to make a straight, so that's 13 outs.

You were thinking flop only. On the turn you can have a lot more outs.

True dat. The OP was having trouble finding the hidden outs, I think. Or maybe he didn't think of turn examples.

Yes, it's the "finding hidden outs" chapter. Thanks a lot!
