(i posted this in internet forum, without much response. any help is greatly appreciated)

a few of my friends play online, but many dont play for real money. are there any sites you know of that offer play money private tables?

Not that I know of, poker sites really don't have any incentive to offer this.

pokerroom.com is a god one, however, I too have a group of friends that like to play but are stil lwary of the whole internet poker thing.

You will find that pokerroom.com currently has two different servers (it may be 3) and the play money players can only see one, and the server you get on is totally random, so it can bevery difficult to find your friends as you may be getting put onto different servers.

One solution tht one of the guys found was that www.holdempoker.com (http://www.holdempoker.com) , which is apparentlyan affiliate of pokerroom.com also lets you set up private tables and only has one server, so it is much easier to find your friends.
