Hello. Quick question for you experts:
My friend (another 2+2er) and I are heading to Milwaukee next Friday for a day at Potowatome Bingo and Casino's poker room. I usually play $.50-$1 or $1-$2 online, and I have had fair results.
I was planning on taking about $300-$500 for the day, and was just assuming I'd sit at the $2-$4 table and such, because that's their lowest-limit table. But my friend was telling me that, when making a trip to a B&M, that it would be OK to give the $5-$10 a try (apparently there's no $3-$6 or $4-$8 there ... which doesn't sound right to me, but whatever).
So, thoughts? I feel very comfortable at the $2-$4, but would have the roll to sit at the $5-$10.
Any major differences I should expect? Is it just flat-out a bad idea? Could I start at 5-10 and, if I got down to 200, ask to move tables down to the 2-4? Or should I start at the 2-4, and if I go on a run, move up to the 5-10?
Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to have fun and always have had great success sitting at the 2-4 at this casino, but maybe it's time to test the waters?
Let me know, and thanks in advance for your advice.
