View Full Version : NBA Early play 2/24
1. Sixers + 3 1/2 @ Knicks
This spread has to be the result of the fact that the 76ers will be down 3 players tonight ... but (1) I don't think that really matters against this putrid Knicks team and (2) ESPN is reporting the Knicks have traded Nazzie Mohammed and 3 relatively insignificant players for Malik Rose and Maurice Taylor, so they also will have a thin bench tonight. I say get in at 3 1/2 before the spread moves back towards a pick.

Good tip -
I took PHI+3.5 as well as
U200 NY/PHI
O184.5 MIN/LAL
43-24-1 since 1/22
only 9-10-1 in the past week or so
Adding SAC/DAL over 212 1/2
No confidence that either team can stop the other. And defense can't be improved by missing players.
One question for the group:
How is Minnesota laying points on the road? To anyone? Does Marko Jaric mean that much to the Clippers? They have lost 8 in a row, but that was a 9-game road trip they were on. I just wonder if I'm missing something here; it seems ridiculous to me.

That line looked curious to me as well.
Are they perceived as playing better under McHale?

I'm on Sixers +3. If my name was Nazi, I think I'd change it.

I'm on Philly +3 as well. Even without a couple players, they're still better than the Knicks.
(I jinxed the Nets last night, but I'm hoping I don't jinx Philly and get run out of here like andrewbross!)

Maybe. I looked at the Clippers without Jaric and admittedly their team seems weak, particularly the bench. But this still is pretty much the team that was .500 before going on a NINE GAME ROAD TRIP, so I think I am misreading this. The whole thing seems very strange to me and I think I may stay away and look for a 2nd half play.

With this luck, it's a wonder I'm only -1 unit on bets placed last night and the Philly game.
