i was watching espnews on nesn (new england sports network) which is owned by the redsox and bruins and to my surprise i see a commercial for partypoker boston vs. ny poker challenge from turning stone casino. it will be on in march. Now im a huge redsox fan but is it just me or are they taking the baseball rivalry entirely to far. it will be played by fans from each city.

yeah, all big name poker pros are filthy rich.

please.. a large percentage of the players you see on tv would be happy to be your personal slave for a year if you payed them $1M.

I personally think this is a great idea. I have NESN and except for the Sox, the programming sucks. Maybe this poker show will suck too, but I think it has potential.

To Daryn: I thought you were going to try and get into this. Were you too late?

Is Robin Galloway a woman. I know a "Robin" at FW that plays a lot of tourneys. Hope it's her, would be interesting.

Wow looks like someone read Jackpot Jay's latest article and extracted some new lingo.
Jackpot Jay says:
"Find a new -- and presumably easier -- online site on which to play. (Several readers mentioned Party Poker as the online equivalent of an 'aquarium.')"

Reading Jackpot Jay and using poker lingo from it is about the equivalent of watching MTV to see what good new music is out.

Ohhh.....Busted - is that what you wanted to hear? A round of applause?
Honestly, I was going to use just the "squared" line (an original of mine FYI), but was worried it wouldn't translate as well in print; so I threw in the extra adjetive for the purpose of clarity.

Obviously it worked since you read the guy's article religiously and instantly knew what I was referring to.
And now you're complaining about it. That's about the equivalent of complaining about fat people and weighing 400 LBS.

Do me a quick favor...
Grab a dictionary and look up the following words. I just wanna clarify that you know what they mean before you use them in a sentence again.
1. Religiously
(obviously because I was browsing espn.com and came across the article 10 minutes before I read your post, that means I read that shmuck's articles religiously, right?)

2. Original
(You say "squared" is your original line. So YOU'RE the great math mind who came up with that concept. It's an honor, sir.)

You may also wanna review the last sentence of your post...the one about being fat and complaining about fat people. That would mean that I called you out on the fact that you copied Crackpot Jay in your post, but then I turn around and do the same thing, wouldn't it? The day I rip off something Crackpot Jay wrote in an article is the day 2+2 turns into a fishing forum.

Bald sports-betting Larry?

Alphonse being in this is amazing enough--having Larry would just be the cherry on top.

If they're both in it I don't like NYC's chances. Alphonse alone makes the NYC team a slight dog, though a highly entertaining one at that.

"I crowbar you Boston motherfuckers!"
