what could he have that you have beat?

AK, QJ, a diamond draw...he's not particularly aggressive post-flop, which makes me think he calls down rather than betting his draws, so probably only AK, but that's unlikely considering his pre-flop aggression.

so...nothing, and that's why i folded /images/graemlins/smile.gif

really, though, i can't possibly put him on a hand. he could have a T4 based on how he's been playing.

anyway, does anyone play it differently on the flop or even pre-flop? i raise KQs here about half the time depending on how tight the people left to act are and how many limpers are in.

I wouldn't raise PF with KQs in MP, especially with a caller in front of you. Too many hands that will call you you're already losing to.

heh, i was sleeping and i realized that i wrote AK when that's not a hand that i beat. i was thinking i had 2 pair or something when i wrote that...

Smells like TT.

I think you want to raise it to about 1/2 pot in case he's trying to price himself in for the flush draw.

Realy can't se a reason for a raise preflop there. Call for sure, but even then you have to play KQ suited or not very carfully. Most of the times it will not win a showdown unimproved.

I like the raise on the flop, but once he calls you have to check/fold it later. Most likley he has 44, TT or KT. He could have a hand like QJ of diamonds, but if I had that I would reraise on the flop playing it with a strong semibluff, so not very likley.
