Yes your raise is a bit too large in my opinion...you really do want some action with AA here. I'd raise to 60 or 75. A good rule of thumb is to raise 3x-4x the big blind, and raising it incrementally if there are callers.
For example, if there are no callers and the blinds are 10-15, youd open raise to 45. If there is one caller you would raise to 60, and with 2 callers you'd raise to 75 and so on. You don't have to use these exact numbers, but usually numbers in this vicinity are best.
