No reads.

Pacific Poker .5/1 Hold 'em (9 handed)

Hero is Button with 6/images/graemlins/club.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif
3 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 Raises, C/O cold calls, Hero????

I am getting 6.5 to 2= 3.25 to 1.
I folded, but what kind of pot odds do I need in order to call?

Also, I am on the button. Would I need less pot odds to call?

you hit your set 12% of the time, so I think you need about 7.5:1 implied odds to make the call profitable.

The button helps because:
a: less chance to be raised behind you with 2 left to act
b: greater possibility of seeing free turn

b is a longshot here after a PF raise, but possible -- reads help here. I think a makes you a little better off, but it's slightly offset by what you're hoping for post flop. If the blinds are passive you can get in cheaper, but of course that means you don't have a little helper betting into you when you hit the set. Note this stipulation applies to b too; if your opponents are passive enough to let you check through on the flop, it's hard to extract max damage when you hit your set.

I usually call here.

With at least 3, possibly 4 or 5 opponents, this is a clear call. Sets make a boatload of money, especially when the pot was raised PF.
