View Full Version : Laying down TT preflop to an all in (all in fest at my table) rebuy?

I had TT, raise in late position and was raised all in by a guy who had been pushing like every single hand. I laid it down, figuring I would wait for another time to pick my battle.

Good decision?

Looks like a bad decision. Especially if it's a rebuy. People are pushing with complete garbage, and you say he is one of them. Why fold TT here, which is probably a huge favorite? What other hands are you waiting for, to "pick your battle", as you say?

Like AK vs AQ and AK vs QK that I've been seeing.

I don't quite understand what you mean by that, but TT is a very easy all-in call in the situation you have described in the OP.

How about 1010 v 99, or 1010 v A9, you don't like those?

But he does not hold AQ. If he's pushing practically every hand, he has two random cards. TT is a monster against this.

Welcome to the world of rebuys. This one is automatic. Assuming low buy-in its even auto against multiple opponents.

If he's raising all the time, this is a good place to gamble, rebuy or not.

What about TT v 67s or TT v A8, or TT v 22?

i would call there with 66, A8, KJ, all kinds of junk. the thing is, you can pick this battle, then pick another battle later too. it's not like you only want to double up once and then stop playing.
