If you're planning on investing only one more bet in the hand no matter what, wouldn't a viable alternative be to check behind here, and call a bet on the river? Same amount of money, and you get a showdown.

That's what I did. I also get a chance to spike a J on the river without worrying about a c/r on the turn.

Wondering if i'm missing out on a value bet, if I have enough fold equity to bet the turn, and if it's just to weak to go for a cheap showdown.

No. you give a free card to anyone holding a K or Q.

yeah, bet and fold to a raise.....No free cards and you get a one bet showdown.....How crappy would it be if he had KQ and made his queen on the river to beat you, free of charge??
