I'm considering making my next stop on the deposit bonus circuit UltimateBet... but it looks pretty hard to clear. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but when I look at their rake structure and bonus clearing policy, it looks to me like it'll take around 6000 hands to clear the $200 bonus at .5/1.

It clears much faster at the higher limits. Try being one of the first to sit down at a table.

you will clear about 1BB/hr per table at the lower fixed limits. so assuming that you get 60 hands per hour of which 50 are raked at least 25c worth 0.25 ultimate points, you will earn about 12.5 points an hour (per table) at .5/1, divided by 2000 (for $200 bonus), is 160 table hours or 8000 dealt hands.

if you can deposit $500 to get the $200 bonus, then you can probably stand to play higher limits that .5/1 to clear it. $2/4 and up is optimal.

Is there a code for this or is it on all 1st deposits (i.e you just give them your $$$)

We're talking about the 1st deposit bonus.

It's not worth it at $.5/$1. It will take you 4 years.

Be one of the first 2 to sit at a table. They pay you double points for that. Games seem to start to fill up pretty quickly too.
