View Full Version : Why does my 1600 X 1200 option keep disappearing?

Hi all,

WTF?? 2 days ago, I tried changing my monitor settings to 1600 X 1200. It worked, and I was 4-tabling PP with no overlap for the 1st time. This was weird, since I coulda sworn I didn't have the option to go that high res before.

Then, yesterday, I tried to do it again (I changed it back after playing because my wife prefers it at 1024 X 780). The highest option available was 1280 X 1024! After messing around with it a bit, I unchecked the "view desktop as a webpage" feature, and voila! 1600 X 1200 was available. So, I thought I had it figured out. No dice. Today, we're back to 1280 no matter what I do.

Obviously, I'm an idiot. What's going on here?

Thanks,

Cero

Have you installed the proper monitor driver? Try disabling active desktop all toghether also (might help).

Some laptops etc have support for multiple monitors or if you use the s-video out option. You want to make sure you are set to use the primary video display as that will do your 1600x1200 if supported but the second one may not.
