i think this shouldve been a fold preflop.

A fold or maaaayyybbbeee a raise depending on how weak the table is. Leaning heavily towards a fold here due to bad position

*edit* calling here is the worst of the three options, you are second best too many times

I fold KJo in EP, limp it suited.

I have been raising KJ from any position and AT but it hasn't worked too well... Should I be doing this? What kind of table should I use this play with?

At .5/1, KJo is an EP raise for me, but at higher limits I don't like it nearly as much, I fold in EP, raise in MP and LP. It's not a loser for me, it's just not a great hand to have.

If you're going to come in, you must raise it from EP, and scare off anything marginal, i.e. weak Ax. You can't limp in and encourage a multiway pot. Try to reduce the field, but be ready to get away from it if 3-bet.

I personally like it a little better at tighter tables where the opponents are going to be few and easier to knock off. It's not a good drawing hand, just leads to a lot of nasty gutshots or runner runner straight draws, or medium strength 4-flushes.
