How to play AK or AQ after pre flop raise is called and flop rags

I seem to be falling down majorly when it comes to playing AQ and AK late on in tournaments. I tend to always raise 3 - 7 times BB pre flop and rarely get more than 1 caller. But when flop is rags, i tend to bet anyway but recently seem to be getting called and then re raised if another rag on turn. This then puts me to the test, do i put them on overcards like me, a pp or just rag & paint??? I have called some of these raises and then not hit on river and end up with an allin raise to deal with when heavily pot committed with only high card Ace. Am i doing things correctly or should i just fold on flop if no joy or should i just flat call preflop and maybe call other raises as opposed to raise myself, so not getting pot committed??
FL is even worse as you push preflop and then on flop, but then what do you do if raised on the more expensive turn and river if you don't hit??
