A few weeks ago I responded to a hand where someone did this and I said he should have raised. People said no, completing was the right thing. I'm not sure I remember reading anything about this. Can anyone direct me to good open-completing advice? thanks, brett

A lot of this depends on the blind structure and the BB.

Know if its been covered in any books?

I remember reading something somewhere but I really have no idea where. I doubt if it's covered in depth in any older books as it mostly applies online. At a B&M unless it's a tournament or shorthanded most people just chop.

I can tell you that I usually avoid just completing if the BB is aggressive (except maybe with something like QQ-AA). I'll raise with a pretty wide range including any ace. But if the BB is pretty weak and unlikely to raise I'll complete a lot of hands. I don't really have any set range or anything though. And obviously you need to play more in a 2/3 SB structure and vice-versa.
