1st hand:
I think that in the first hand you got your money in when you were behind. With $6.75 in the pot, you bet $4 on that flop. What hands do you want him to fold here? What hands do you expect him to call with? When he raises you $11 (up to $15) on the flop, what do you put him on? I have to think AJ, KJ, QJ, JT, or possibly A5s (if he's really aggro). The flop is uncoordinated and has no flush draws, so a semi-bluff is out of the question. You might put him on a middle pair like 66, 77, 88, 99, TT, but again that's a fairly aggressive raise with a middle pair after you showed strength twice. If he made that move with those hands, then he played the hand very well and you have to take that. But look at it from his perspective, if he doesn't have a jack and makes that aggressive raise, what is he hoping that you have? AKs/AK or AQs? Perhaps you know him to be ridiculous and make that flop raise with nothing, but I think you had 2 outs at best after that flop and probably should have folded to the raise.

ps I hate folding Aces. But, your bet plus his raise makes folding the right play, I think.

2nd hand:
I think that in the second hand, you were up against a middle pair. He probably had something like 77, 88, or 99. He may have been semi-bluffing on the flop with a flush draw, but you having the Ace of spades makes that less likely. And I'd say we can pretty much rule out A4s because of your two Aces and his overbet on the flop. His going all in on the turn makes good sense in case he thinks you are hanging on with overcard spades.
I like your line in this hand. Although you could have set him all in on the flop in order to give him the worst odds possible in case he had a flush draw. But, because of the size of his flop bet vs. his stack size, had you set him all in on the flop, his odds would have been almost right anyway. Good hand.
