Edited to clarify: How often are your bedsheets changed, whether you, your SO, housekeeper, etc. does the actual changing of sheets.

I answered less than once a month. I change my bedsheets every time I do laundry. That should tell you a lot about me.

about once a semester. it's when they start to smell and have crusted semen, body sweat causing a nasty odor, snot from when I don't have tissues, and food on them, and my girlfriend gets pissed and washes them herself

I think once every 2-3 months when I'm single. Maybe every other week when I'm not.

I heard Al Roker on the TV a while ago talk about this when the topic came up. He said something like:

"If you don't change your sheets at least once a month, you are crazy. Do you know what you're sleeping on? That is just nasty."

Like the rest of you, I don't change them that often, but it made me start to wonder.

Along those lines, what is up with baths? You're basically just stewing in your own dirty juices.

I believe Jerry Seinfeld brought that to my attention.

'bout the same for me. I'm not as cool as some of the others though, because I'm married, yet I sometimes do the laundry and sheets.

Well since I sleep on a frickin air mattress that I don't even have sheets big enough for, I never change them.

Also, top sheets are for suckers.

bingo. not that my answer is necessarilly exactly that, but whoa guys. anyone who has sex more than 1 or 2 times without changing the sheets (or at least washing them and putting the same sheets back down) is a really, really disgusting clown. i know that this being this forum, we're going to get answers to this claim of the form "nah man, when i hit them b*tches, i always do it in their bed, or their roommate's." but come on now.

secondly, if you *want* to be able to bring a girl, or boy, or whatever, back to your room, or apartment, or whatever, for sex (or hell, anything else where the person might see/smell your bed), you just shouldn't allow your bed to get smelly.

alright, this is longer than i meant it to be, but there's been a sort of overabundance lately of "look how macho i am, i'll say or say i do _____." and really, you can't say those things and expect anyone to also believe the claims that you're having sex like orlando bloom at mardi gras. and well, if you do your sheets some disgustingly infrequent amount, just change that part of your life. and take a shower hippy.

when the f is your landlord buying you new stuff? did i miss the results of possible legal action/etc? top sheets i think suck except when it's summer, so you siwitch them in for blankets/quilts.

They aren't buying us any new stuff.

In fact, after these last rains in SoCal our house is starting to leak again.

Such comedy, they replace our carpets and now they are on the verge of being ruined again because they didn't fix the problem, they just bought us new crap.

christ, and i'm sure this has been covered elsewhere, but why aren't you moving out? or at least when are you moving out? mold sucks dude, and you're going to get some soon if you don't have it. to my knowledge, california is particularly generous with tenants wrt mold settlements. sucks man.

i'm less than once a month. having sex leaves a single spot on her side of the bed. i don't see the big deal.

Weekly, when I do the laundry. I have 2 sets at school, so each one is fresh every two.

It sucks because at college we have these extra long beds for super tall people, and it's really hard to make it even with the custom sheets.

No, didn't forget it. I was going to put in a couple of things like that, but decided to go with "on average" instead, which for some people seems to simply mean "on average, how often do you have sex?" or "on average, how often do you do laundry?". When I'm seeing someone, they get changed more often. When I'm not, a little less often. This means, on average, about twice a month for me.

The reason I don't wash my sheets is b/c getting them back on the mattress is a pain in my ass.
