I would have to say a little. When he calls the 400 you have to put him on a made hand especially so early. So he would need either diamonds or a nine or jack nine. He has to think you have something and yet he called. If you check the river he may check and you save 300 and if he bets he probably has you beat. It is is still tough to let go of aces.

Wow! Calling a 150 raise with an 87s. Either a great post flop player or the kind of player I want at my table. The only thing I may have done differently is betting more on the flop...pot sized 250-300. That would have made his draw incorrect. I'm not sure if it would have made much difference in this case though as he seemed married to that suited connector from the beginning.

I'd like to think that I would have checked the turn after the 3rd diamond appeared but I have a feeling I would have gone broke on that hand too.
