Just FYI for anyone curious, he sent me a PM with the telephone number of a "sportsbook." Oddly enough, the number was the same number he gives out for his sports "service." Brings to mind the following:

The 800/888 number scam.
This involves the consumer being enticed by an advertisement to call a "free" 800 or 888 number for psychic advice, phone sex, singles connections, or other telephone service. When the consumer calls the number, an automated voice prompts the consumer to give his or her name and say "I want the service," or similar phrase, to get the advertised free service. Unbeknownst to the consumer, his or her telephone number is noted, and he or she is discreetly billed each month for an unknown "service" that the consumer never authorized nor received.
