In the interests of karma I thought I'd kick this one off. In no particular order:

peace john nickle for consistently making me laugh in the minimum number of words

likewise El D

daryn, sublime, and lazymeatball, mainly cos their from boston, and their avatars consistently remind everyone that we're champions of everything

Patrick for his its not rocket science comments - for some reason it never gets old

bicyclekick for his poker advice

SpicyF gets the most fun at the poker table award

The latest addition is probably BrownThumb - there's definitely a certain poetry to his posts

jakethebake because I feel sorry for him being on everybodies dislike list

Now *group hug* and lets stop all this 'dislike' nonsense!

C'mon man, it's not rocket science. I think it's because I am a rocket scientist, so I therefor have better insight into exactly what is and what is not rocket science.

Also, in the interest of full disclosure, I think it was Shajen who started the rocket science thing (well, I guess I actually started it by being a rocket scientist, but you know what I mean) and he (and a few others) have made many of the rocket science comments.

Thank you, pokerjo. I must say that I am also a fan of yours.

I like pretty much everyone, especially those that were going to give me money when i was broke. Thanks guys.

Specifically:

(no apparent order)

ShillX for always rooting for me to go all in on the SB with 96o because sklansky wrote an article somewhere.

Zephed. For being zephed.

Radek. For being the cool guy.

Buster: for always making me feel better about my inner rants, and for always going on tilt.

Angrycola: Hes a kansas man, im a kansas man.

Wacki: I WILL buy this man several beers one day.

the entire SS elite, like bison, bdk, sfer, thief, evan, etc etc etc. I never really felt like a part of the crowd, but you guys have always been there when i needed you, and ive even fooled some of you into thinking i can play poker. I am also coming to nyc soon, and look forward to some nonsense.

SCfuji for seeing through the smoke and mirrors and realizing im a fish.

There are too many friends on here for me to list. If you respond in thread, i will tell you what i like about you, if you need such to bolster your self esteem. No poems though. Im not much of a writer.

Finally, there is only one thing left to say:

Wacki, so long as we don't talk Politics.

nolanfan34, nice guy with a little class.

confuzzd, every forum needs its gonzo life partner.

Rushmore, for his similarly twisted sense of humor and Shane Macgowan avatar.

I appreciate the NY crew since they post excellent content and also some totally useless and bizarre crap.

Tommy Angelo, El Diablo, duh. And mad respect to Clark, Dynasty, NPA, etc.

Zeno, although it frightens me.

InchoateHand for being my actual friend, even if he gets drunk and abusive sometimes.

There are others, but I don't want to take too much of the Academy's time here.

There really are too many to mention. Some I am thinking of right now are:

Nate Tha' Great
stripsqueeze
Peter_rus
sossman
MLG
mike l
Brown Thumb
Nick B.
Jason Strasser
Andy B.
Kurn son of Morg (sp?)
Toro
Tommy Angelo

There are dozens of others, and who is on the top of my head is really just a function of what I have been reading lately.

Edit to add Peter_rus, who would be an unforgivable ommision.

I know you are new here, so i will just clue you in. If pokerjo ever lowers herself to become attached to one of us lowlife degenerates, ive got dibs. I called them way back when. Sublime seems to think he can march in and use the whole common background thing, but he is a pansy. I pwn him, much like i will pwn j00. After i have tried, and failed due to my near fanatical stalking of the lady, then you can have a crack. buy remember....I WILL BE WATCHING.

Also, jo, and all that bay crew, im trying to put together a late summer travel thing that lets me hit the west coast and then new york. Any particular times that are bad. Arent we supposed to have a pill-fueled rolling poker night or something?

At first glance I thought it just said "with little class". /images/graemlins/blush.gif TYVM.

Hard to categorize "like" when it comes to this forum.

Posts good stuff about strategy: MLG, SossMan, strassa, Tyler Durden (because I often disagree with his lines, and learn from the discussion), most of the SS crew.

Most underrated posters that more people should know about: Buzz (Omaha forums), Andy B (stud forums)

Best one line posts: El Diablo, daryn

And also, any thread where AA, Inthacup and 2kf are making fun of each other. I don't even get all of the inside jokes, but I can tell that they're funny.

Eh, too many other posters to list, takes a lot for me to not like someone, although there are a few of you out there.

i think i've posted maybe 2 or 3 times in this OOT forum...and for some reason, i decided to go here today...and as you stated this was for karma, it must have been for a reason that this was the first post on the list...

there are a lot of great guys/girls/posters here that i've met and not met...i guess i'm biased in that i like posters i have met and that catagory looks like this:

in no order:

tpir2304892038
edtost
evan
flushed
james282
enon (we met for the first time after planning a trip to vegas together...took a risk and it paid off)
clarkmeister (vegas would not be as fun without 2-4-8-8 in the bay and frequent corona induced trips to THE bathroom)
snowman
monkeyslacks- and other guys from the VA game i met and who made fun of me constantly but were a shi.tload of fun (i dont know many of their posting names)

Another catagory, is posters who ive not met but who have been a significant help to me away from the baords and seem to be great guys and very nice and generous with time etc...

skp
bicycle kick
stoxtrader
1800gambler-although we never used to aggree on plays and he was 90% of the time correct.

and finally, there are the posters who i respect as players and people and would like to meet and drink with on my next trip to vegas...and eventually cali, northern NY, etc...

RAY ZEE (he absolutely baffles me...he can call out hole cards from in front of a computer moniter having only read 2 words of a post...insanely accurate reader of hands)
barry
mason
david
el diablo (or some guy named ulyses)
rick nieblo
louis landale
ed NPA miller
mike l.
JV
JA-sucker
boris (his posts were hilarious and he went through some funny phases)
onegymrat
gabe
tommy angelo
fsuplayer
michael davis
SKP
(((abdul jalib)))*he no longer posts here /images/graemlins/frown.gif
slavic
nate tha great
paluka
steveyz

that is all i can think of off of the top of my head...

but if you are not on this list and we've had exchanges on the forum its likely you do belong on it so chalk it up to no short term memory on my part.

GREAT idea pokerjo22 by the way...you are new and you're celestial idea of karma certainly engendered a fond trip down memory lane for me writing this out.

and for taht you go on one of the above lists...pick whichever one you want...

and a dear thanks and shout out to matt sklansky who has to put up with a large deal of shi.t in order to moderate this forum.

Entity (the best micro/ss hand analyzer - not always right, but always thoughtful, and also prolific)
gaming mouse (anybody who can make me understand math is talented)

Clarkmeister (nuff said)

I think Nate is, indeed, great. Evan is very helpful. StellarWind is a very knowledgable poster. I find Private Joker's advice on the small stakes forum to be excellent. Scrub is entertaining.

Dr. Al is pretty good on the psych board too, though his advice lately has been a little too dry.

Thanks Radek2166. You dragged my lazy LAGGY ass here and are a funny mfer yourself. I will take you up on that Vegas trip someday!

Most of these guys are posters from micros who I've frequently played at 2+2 tables. They are all friendly and generous with their advice and ideas and I have developed as a player in the same "class" as many of them. They make posting in micros very fun and interesting. Some of them have helped my game immeasurably especially shillx, btspider and entity. Props go up out to the rest of the micro and 2+2 table regs scott2130, cold cash, easypete, zuluking, gregJ, jaxUP, grunchcan, olliejen, tiltaholic, deathdonkey, meep42, shadow29, eliteninja, goon2, frankiii, daveline, isaacW, Nick Rolyale, NickC, DavidC, toss, vern, DMBFan23, afk... (and anybody else who has played poker with me from 2+2. If I didn't mention you by name you need to pwn me the next time we play and perhaps I'll remember you!)

Guys who's posts I like but probably have no idea who I am...

I just got back from Montreal with my friends, 3 days of booze, boobs, gambling and ilicit substances. During this trip I told my buddies about this forum, and how much entertainment I got from it during a less then smooth time in my life, and how 99% of the posters add to the dynamic in their own way. (How Many 5 yr Olds was the theme of the weekend) I genuinely like everyone here who I have had interaction with and many I have'nt posted once with. The regular 00T crew as well as many of the SS posters who are funny first and help me with poker second.

What this place needs less of though is drama, which was virtually non-existent 3 months ago, when everyone on these boards was discussing how great 00T was.

Anyhoo, I wanted to post in the kinder gentler thread and let you know you're all pretty much worthwhile individuals in my book.

I "like" most posters but these are ones that come near the top of the list.

daryn - always tells it straight
El Diablo - for his sarcasm
MicroBob - very amiable guy
astroglide - muchos respect

there are numerous other strategy related posters that I respect highly, but the question was like.

I can't believe I was mentioned twice. You guys know I'm just average, right? Heh. I guess I'm aggreeable.

All the 5/10ers at HUSH who respond to my lowly 1/2 hands.

Shillx for putting in a lot of effort to help people out, and discussing hands in depth. I beat you like a rented mule HU though.

Freakin for puttin up with the banning, and going along with my initial idea. And you give good advice too, just noticed.

Freakintemp is a bitch though...

Entity for owning me HU. And being humorous.

cnfuzzd for organizing the open challenge. That really helped my bankroll grow. peace.

bisonbison for providing the converter.

natethagreat for getting everyone involved in heavy discussion.

Ed Miller for posting a lot.

Chris Daddy Cool-You were the first reply to my first post here. It was a micro hand, you were probably playing mid-high limits then. In fact, a lot of people went out of their way to help a newbie. Thanks!

mmbt0ne for letting me steal his blinds everytime.

claytonN for playing some high stakes HU (.02/.04) and basically giving me $1. Heh, j/k. I flopped two pair almost every time.

The unknown 2+2'er who used the brown trout line at the table when I was still a fish.

Eric5148 for knowing the germany or florida thing.

All the elders, you are very wise.

Andy_B for helping a stud idiot out.

All the poker celebrities for providing entertainment. You got some free advertising out of that. You guys should post in strategy related forums though.

[censored] for posting pictures of women.

TSC for posting pictures of women.

I can't remember any more. Bye.

Iceman, Supbro, Joeybitch, Bison for his I'm gonna stay awake for 3 years and play 15k hands, TSC for the sheer volume of posts, and of course the music threads, [Censored] for the OOT rounds of hotties, PJN, well, for being crazier than anyone else around here, Daryn and Buster (for being brutally honest), Jakethebake, Wacki, Indiematty, Patrick (cause it ain't rocket science, bro) for the kick ass conversations I've had here. Pretty much all you ooters for not giving me too much [censored] when I started spouting off here.

Oh, and the Atl crew who post on here and the Duke supporters. (and "The Clarkmeister" for his fighting Illini thread, and not giving me too much [censored] for how Duke has stumbled a few games down the stretch here)

Got nothing but love for 2+2. Although lately it's blown furry goat balls. (What's up with that anyway?) It's like half of OOT is experiencing menstrual cramps. /images/graemlins/confused.gif

WTF. Why is Steve Giufre missing on many of these lists?

His strategy advice in the mid/high forum is always rock solid and has been extremely generous with his time to me regarding strategy questions and offering encouragement when I was going through tough poker times and was quite down on myself.

And of course, Dcifths is probably being left off of some lists since he didn't post at all over a 3 month period recently. I like him too /images/graemlins/cool.gif

El Diablo: one of the best players on here, from what I can tell.

GoT: Like him or not, agree with him or not, he's honest, and in this day of SSH actually advises people to fold instead of raise sometimes.

I could name a bunch of peeps, but, really, anyone who posts honestly is what makes the site worth reading. I've had my fair share of cringes at David Ross' strategy posts, but even online I can tell he's a straight-shooter and is always worth a read.

And of course I will now include the obligatory "Pokerjo22 seems very nice, too."

EMarkM (great advice), Che (great advice), Bison (great advice), MLG (awesome trip reports/good advice), ZeeJustin (entertaining posts, good advice) 2005 (good advice), Ed Miller (Liked his book, always eager to help), Daryn (somewhat of a wiseass but always enjoy reading his posts), Sup Bro (This guy reminds me of a meathead that use to try and bully me all the time, I got the last laugh though WHEN I KILLED HIM). Other guys who I enjoy reading: Pros (famous anyways), Fossilman, Paul P, Barry G. El Diablo, Sklansky, Malmuth. I like everyone who isn't a troll, (ahem Zaxx).

I'd (re)list all the usual suspects but it's beddy-bye time, so I'll just note a few that I didn't see mentioned.

Louie Landale-- any post I managed to understand taught me something new. Too bad he seems to have stopped posting lately.

Pokerjo is cute but she looks too much like my cousin. So best of luck to Mr. Nickle in his quest.
