UTG+1 is a passive calling station. No reads on BB

Bet and check behind on the river. Probably fold to either a check/raise or river bet.

you still can bet for value on the turn here. while it feels like throing money away sometimes if they have an ace. you will also often get called by any 7 8 9 T J, any /images/graemlins/diamond.gif /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, probably a 6, maybe worse.

OK..so I bet the turn and got called by both players. (This does feel like threwing money away against passives as most of the times you will see an A on the river)

River is a 9 and it is checked to me. Easy check behind?

So I checked behind and was shown the A and MHING

This may not be the most interesting hand in the world but it is a situation that occurs rather often. Sometimes I wonder if a better line to take is to check behind on the turn and call an eventual river bet. The cost is the same and even if an A isnīt out here you will not be able to fold a passive waiting for a 9, 8 or 7 by betting the turn.

HUH!?!?...If I knew that neither of my opponents had an ace I would not be able to get my turn bet into the pot fast enough.

no.. i think it's a lot better to bet thr turn/check the river than the other way around...

where i get confused is when i don't have position.. what to do.. say you were UTG and you bet the flop and they both called.. what then on the turn?... just check and fold to a bet?.. it's almost gauranteed that if you chk the turn after betting the flop someone is gonna bet no matter what they have...

Remember, if your KK is good you don't want to give these jerks a free card to beat you with their draws. Checking behind on the river is better.
