Check behind on the river?

SB bet the flop, called a raise, bet the turn, called a raise. Can't see SB folding to a 1/5 pot-size bet on the river, so you must be trying to maximize your profit here. While this would be good if you KNEW you had the hand won, if you stop to think about what kind of hands SB would play the way he did, you've got to think that maybe you're behind. Also, it's somewhat fishy that SB bet-called every round, and then checked on the river.

While a raise is a good option, with an almost zero percent chance of inducing a fold, a check may be the better choice in this scenario.

"SB bet the flop,........., bet the turn", I disagree.
And of course the bet on river was a value bet and not a bet to fold him out. Any more inputs?
