Played in a 40-person home game tournament and (naturally) just missed cashing.

I just thought I'd post these, because it seems like as internet players, we think this only happens online.

I get pocket 6s ... I'm shortstacked and get called by Q/5o out of the big blind. Flop is a Q. ... Rivered a 6.

I get pocket Jacks. ... I'm shorstacked again. Go all-in. Big blind calls with Q/10d. Flop is Q/10/? ... River jack.

Now for the bad beat (well, not really, but it really hurt me stackwise). Pocket 10s. UTG goes all-in for about half my stack. She was, in the short time I was at the table, a very, very impressive player who only played very good hands. But she was shortstacked. Thought long and hard and called. She had A/Q and rivered an Ace.

Good luck to all.

More proof that poker is rigged everywhere.

I bet if you bought some drinks or tipped the house you would get much better cards.
