CO is slightly loose, more aggressive than your average dude (no PT stats - just obervations). He'll coldcall preflop with hands a 20-25% VPIPer would play (rough guess). BB is unknown.

I guess my two questions are:

1. Do you like the turn check raise? I'll admit I don't know CO very well... just like 50-60 hands at the table without PT or GT+ because I'm at another computer.

2. Is the river 3-bet superbly easy?

Paradise Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
3 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 2/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, CO calls, BB calls.

CO probably doesn't have a Q - he would probably raise. I think he has a K or A, maybe a BDFD, maybe small pairs he thinks are still good.

Turn: (4.75 BB) A/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, CO bets, BB calls, Hero raises, CO calls, BB calls.

I check to trap BB because I think CO will bet with many hands he called the flop with: any Ax, or he could easily bluff with pocket pairs since my check looks weak.

River: (10.75 BB) 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, CO raises, BB folds, Hero 3-bets, CO caps, Hero calls.

Eh, what? Nonetheless, I think the 3-bet is mandatory because there are lots of hands he raises here that I beat.

Final Pot: 18.75 BB

I don't like the turn C/R unless you were really sure he would bet in this spot. It would suck if it was checked through. I think the river 3-bet is straightforward.

Gold stars are so sweet... villain had A9o, which was lovely.

Awesome.

An extra plus to this (aside from the money), is that when you are on a draw later, and check the turn, you might get people to check behind you fearing the check-raise that you busted out earlier. This hand looks like a textbook example of a missed draw, or effed JJ, and then you hit him with the check-raise.

What kinds of draws does a preflop raiser have on a flop of 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif Q/images/graemlins/club.gif 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif? Could be how he'd play JJ though.
