I actually have very little reads here as I've been HU at my other table and haven't been paying attention. Initial raiser had won the last 3 or 4 pots without a showdown, so I guess (s)he could have anything.

SB: T2240
BB (Hero): T1445
UTG: T2480
CO: T795
Button: T1040

Blinds 100/200
Hero is dealt A/images/graemlins/club.gifK/images/graemlins/club.gif
UTG raises to 800, CO calls all-in for 795, Button raises all-in to 1040. SB folds. Hero...

3 players already involved? Fold it. You need KK or AA to play here (maybe QQ).

sucky situation but I'd fold. you are not pot commited and there is good chance that 2 of them will get out/ hurt down to 200ish chips.

If the button hadn't moved in then I think there is value for you to move in as long as this raise to 800 was standard for utg. The blinds are huge and CO could easily have a weaker ace at this point.

The button, if he's reasonable, needs a big pair or AK to move in at this point so you have an easy fold. Sucks to fold AKs when the blinds are this big, but you can take solace in the fact that it should be easy to make the money now.

The general consensus seems to be to fold here. My fear here was that I would fold, then one of the smaller stacks would double up, and I would be 4th stack on the bubble. I decided to call.

UTG showed 99, CO had KQs, and the button had 88. UTG hit a set, and the 3 of us busted, but I ended up taking 3rd anyways. Thanks for the comments, and more are welcomed.

yeah I fold here too. In hind sight you weren't in such bad shape, but the action suggests that someone has big hards and with CO almost out on the bubble a fold is clear here. AK can be a rather difficult laydown. But I find the longer I play the less enchanted I am with this hand. just my 2 cents.

I push here because of the following possibilities.

1) UTG wins the pot, I come third in the tourney.

2) I beat UTG but lose to the others, I get 810 chips back.

3) I win the pot, yummy.

Against:

One of the other players beats UTG, who in turn beats me, I don't cash.

or

UTG folds and I lose, I have 405 chips left and look rather sorry, but not out.

I push for simple reason that possible good outcomes outnumber bad
