In poker - Skill, because luck follows if you play correctly and you know for sure you're a winning player in the long run.

But in general, I would say luck and play a lot in lotteries and such /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Do you have any more words of wisdom oh wise one?

Skill makes luck.

Poker is all luck. If you lose, its because your unlucky, not because you don;'t have a damn clue what your doing.

There is no "luck" in the world, when will people realize that?

Long run I would prefer to be skilled. Short run I would rather be lucky.

If I could always be lucky in poker for the rest of my life, luck.

But if luck comes and goes, then skill.

Lucky. Hands down.
Luck always makes more than skill.

Take a pokerhand for example... skilled player playes the hand with worldclass skill and traps a poor sap for all his money and only 1 out. The non-skilled player gets lucky and draws out. Luck wins.

Or the roulette player. The skillfull player simply doesn't play. The lucky player bets a single number and hits his 35 to 1 every time. Looks like luck is more profitable here as well.

I can't think of a single case in poker or any type of gambling where skill beats luck!

If skill is so worthless compared to luck, why bother improving it? all you there is. Luck comes and goes like a punter in Patpong.

Can't be improved or predicted...

Skill doesn't create luck. That's just goofy. The skillfull player simply accepts that there is a standard deviation in the game so there will be swings both up and down giving the appearance of being lucky at times and unlucky at others. Skill also can cause others to make more mistakes give the nonskilled players the impression that the skilled player gets lucky more often.

But here's hoping 2+2 publishing puts out the title:
Hitting more sets and cathing more rivers for advanced players. or Getting Lucky FAP.

Luck is just probability. you don't notice the 39 out 40 times things happen like there suppose too, but you'll sure as heck remember the 1 if it's against you. I like what Gary Player said years ago "the harder I work, the luckier i get"
