AS starts at the three point line at a 45 degree angle to the bucket on the right side...he tosses the ball off the back board and Nash, standing around the free throw line elbow on the left side, does a "soccer style" header ally-oop back to AS who catches, windmills, and throws it down...clean.

sick.

go to NBA.com. The video recap they have on the front page has a videdo of the dunk as well as a couple of Josh Smith's.

Yeah, that was bananas. Very original. That's the type of dunks they need people to keep doing to make the dunk contest fun afloat.

Nash did everything.

Josh Smith made the contest for me.

^ Agreed. I just love watching highlight clips from past years, though. I had a slam dunk rush last night.

the finals should have been Smith and Smith though. J.R. had an amazing first dunk, should have gotten a 50 for that.

Amare got robbed on his first dunk in the finals, i know it took him a few attempts but it was waaaaay nastier than smith's first dunk of the finals and only generated a 45/50

- the between the legs reverse, know what i mean?

all in all it was fun and excellent because it was brief as opposed to overly done

and yes the behind the back one handed dunk was tits.

I don't think anything Amare did was overly impressive. Yes, they were unique, but really did not show pure athleticism that Smith exhibited. That dunk over Kenyon was bananas

You lose that WOW element when you miss it the first time. People want to see something new, and see it work. If you have an idea what's coming, it's just not as spectacular.

JR Smith would've had the best single dunk, and had he pulled it out the first time, would've been in the finals no doubt.

I think Amare's between the legs reverse was easily the best dunk of the night. Jumping over a person is kind of pointless and just gimicky because you usually need to get that high anyways in order to do the dunk. I think the score's should have been reversed, Amare getting a 50 and Smith getting a 45. Best competition in a long time, though.

You're right...Yao, Duncan, KG, and Shaq could all do that. Smith's dunk was definitely not easy, but it's pretty much the same as dunking from a few feet inside the free throw line.

Amare is an inch taller than Smith, by the way.

[/ QUOTE ] soooo? Amare should be able to do the same dunks then, but he can't. Instead he has to rely on novelties to get in the finals.

Andersen dunks like a beast in game, has sick hops, and blocks a ton of shots....

He made some retarded choices, though....Seriously, you should have a backup dunk you can fall back on. I know I do. /images/graemlins/cool.gif
