Can't hear audio

The speakers are new. How do I get the computer to recognize the audio card. (I put a new HD in. Everything else is ok).

Did you put in a new HD or a new sound card? Or new speakers? Unless you put in a new audio card, or a completely new HD and had to format, your audio shouldn't need to be changed.

I only put in a new HD. I also bought new speakers. The old speakers also didn't work after the new HD was put in.
