Maybe I'm being too "Seinfeldish", but something I found extremely useful the "Last Channel" button. This is a main feature on a TV remote control as if you were flipping between two programs at the same time, you only had to push one button per channel flip rather than 2+ presses per flip. In addition, you didn't have to look at the remote to make sure you're pressing the correct numbers. The "Last Channel" button is an especially useful feature for blind and lazy people.

The one constant for the longest time:

1) The "Last Channel" button can always be found on a TV remote control.

2) The "Last Channel" can never be found on a VCR remote control.

The reason I'm writing this is because I constantly use the VCR remote to control everything (channel switching, VCR recording, etc...), and it annoys me that I could not switch channels using my VCR remote.

February 19, 2005, I finally buy a Go+Video brand VCR/DVD combo from Costco which contains the "Last Channel" button.

Hurray for the little things.
