Somewhat of a rant, but I wonder if some of you feel the same way.

They have been giving different stories, all with high levels of finality, and it all was just pathetic. The whole time I was thinking "how in the hell could they know this? The players and owners couldnt even know these outcomes?"

The HUGE graphic on espn.com yesterday of the grave, followed up today by a tiny almost retraction like statement in the up right corner (to avoid embarassment), then AGAIN another retraction saying the season is done.

Say it with me ESPN... I DONT KNOW IF THEY WILL PLAY. Learn to not print multiple endings to a negotiation, one which is obviously evolving and new to everyone. Take the time it took to make that lame grave graphic, and actually analyze how negotations work with actual vs. perceived deadlines. Idiots.

I think the grave thing was not that unreasonable. I did hear the commissioner of the league officially cancel the season live on the radio. That makes it seem reasonably sure the season was cancelled.
