YES! Why don't more people understand this? WRC is the highest form of auto racing there is.

+gt 1.

did you ever see any old 'class b' rally videos? the restrictions were (i think): 500 production models and a stock grill (or something ridicilus like that). the Audi quattros DOMINATED it, one driver said that they'd go from 160 to 200 ON DIRT, like a production car goes from 20 to 30. my friend had a movie abouyt it- it was FAST. i'll look for a link.

I prefer sports that permit non-white participants.

brief history (http://www.stormloader.com/groupb/history.html)

and some more... (http://www.rallycars.com/Cars/Cars_Background2.html)

"The cars sometimes had 600+ Bhp engines and a weight below the ton mark." -take a look at the audi.

heh heh... that's far lighter than a modern WRC car and twice as powerful.

Since the IRL has reduced the Indy 500 to amateur hour, I relucantly have to agree with you.

So sad... Man to be back in the late 80s/early 90s of Indycar days...

My only beef with Nascar is that I can watch the first 20 laps, then sleep until the last 10 and not miss anything too relevant.
