This is one of those "Bet from nowhere" hands. I see top pair play it this way, trying to guard against giving a free card on the turn.

Opponent is just a little loose, and passive.

He's not 3 betting the turn to prevent a free card. I don't know, can you fold here? Seems fairly clear given your read that your hand is not good.

It's the lead bet that is to prevent a free card (if that is what he is really doing... which is completely up in the air with his passivity)

I have a flush draw too. Is that no good here often enough to fold? His lead bet doesn't strike me as a made flush. Maybe a striaght.

Sorry, I misread. I dunno, I don't think I fdo it but I'm guessing you could have safely folded the river.

Intersting hand.

I see your reasoning that BB would bet out on the turn with top pair to avoid your checking behind with say A/images/graemlins/diamond.gifQ/images/graemlins/club.gif if he is a thinking player.

It also stands to reason BB would not be defending his blind with a hand that would have made him two pair on the flop or turn.

Being passive though he is not likely to run at you without a solid holding and on that read I think I just call the turn(you may even be drawing dead). Against an aggressive player though I like your line a lot better.
