By my reckoning, if you make 150 of the an hour, you should be pulling in $9 per hour. With the fantastic government services in Sweden, that should be plenty to live off. Good luck with your new career.

At least, this time I have some idea what the painting means.

In case anyone didn't know, he painted OVER the FUCUNT painting to paint this one. So it's really a matter of which painting is better, not whether or not this one is ok. Painting over a painting with one that is not as attractive would definitely be -EV.

The beauty of this painting is that on the one hand, this is a simple painting of a happy bird. But then on the other hand, it is a simple painting that makes us question everything about our lives and the world.

note: I'm quoting the above not in order to respond to the poster, but rather to illustrate a key point in the critique of this fine piece of art. That having been said..

Fellow posters,

Being an art critic by trade, I rarely feel the need to be condescending towards what the elite of my profession consider to be 'amateur' critics such as yourselves. I am afraid, however, that I must vehemently dis the crunkosity that is the average review of this painting by the esteemed Mr. F.

Note that Freakin informed us that Spicy F has painted over the other image reading 'FUCUNT.' The former piece, IMO, was one of the most breathtaking sights to which my eyes have been exposed whilst reading 'Other Other Topics.' I am sure Mr. F feels this way as well. Regardless, his lack of available fundings for the procurement of another canvas (no doubt the result of long hours of MDMA-fueld 'cash-money-love giveaways' on UB's 'brooklyn park,' et. al) has led him to the dire straits of painting over the beloved work, simply to appease your desires and aspire to a higher echelon of artistry.

You, my friends, should be profoundly ashamed of yourselves for deriding this gesture of true humanity. Look at that bird one more time and see how long you can hold off the tears of joy.

In closing, I spoke to Mr. F recently about the painting. He had but these words:

"its a bird.
bird is happy"

Yes... Bird is happy,

LMFAO!!

It looks like the bird just got its head chopped off except for a few feathers still holding it attached to the body. But it doesn't really matter because even if the head was still attached, there is a tsunami (I'm assuming that's the blue splotch in the lower right hand corner) coming that will drown the bird.

I love the fact that the canvas does not fit the easel so you had to use a poker chip as a wedge. Nice bird, nice wave, Happy little trees.

In that case, I'm glad to know that no more plants died in the making of this second masterpiece.

Lupin - you get my vote for POST OF THE YEAR BABY!

That was brilliant.

(btw I really hope you were actually being sarcastic)

To the "artist" - the painting is not the worst i've ever seen. And for that I congratulate you. However, it's still terrible. I'm sorry. /images/graemlins/frown.gif
