Some people might say cap the flop, but I think it worked out here as SB may think he has the best hand.

Now you are gonna tell me SB had 9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif9 /images/graemlins/club.gif or

9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif5 /images/graemlins/spade.gif right?

SB's somewhat scary flop check/3-bet is a welcome development here, as you hold the 2nd nuts. I might've capped the flop, but I can see just calling too. Capping could potentially lead to the turn getting checked to you and less money going in.

It looks like MP1 caught trip nines on the turn. Or I guess he could have slowplayed 44 on the flop, and I guess something like 94s (that he also slowplayed) can't be ruled out. But I think probably he has something like 98 and isn't so worried about his kicker anymore, now that he has trips.

I don't know what brings UTG+1 back to life on the river. I guess he had something like A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 4 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif? Anyway, I hope it was that, instead of, say, TT or T9. By the time he 3-bets the river, I am worried about TT. But with MP1 also in the pot, you are getting 2:1 on your cap.

IMO you played it right. You got a lot of bets in with what you think is the best hand. If you're beat by a bigger hand, tough luck. I like not capping the flop here. When the ten falls on the river, maybe you just call the 3-bet because they could be holding TT or 9T, but other than that, well played.

MP1 had Kd 9s for trips
UTG+1 had a 2d 4d for a flush

I took it down, good to hear that ppl think i got the most outta this pot
