Can someone talk about when to cap the flop vrs waiting until the turn to raise? The relative benefits of each play? I think I played this right.

Looks OK to me. I'd probably cap the flop heads up and if he leads into me on the turn call down. With the other two in the pot I think calling the 3-bet and raising the turn is a better option.
