I raise the first three and limp with the 88.

JJ and TT I always raise.

88 and 99 I'll raise at a tighter table limp at a looser table. If it's somewhere in between I raise 99.

It depends on table texture and your post-flop ability. I always raise with 99 & higher, I open raise with 88 if it might slim down the number of cold callers, or I haven't played many hands recently (and at times if I have played a lot of hands recently). More than anything you need to know when to release your hand if the flop (and sometimes turn) is not your friend, as well as know your opponents.

PS: Read SSHE.... stop focusing on pre-flop play, the hand is usualy won post flop.

JJ and TT are a raise. 99, 88 and 77 depend. For me they are about the same. On a tighter table they are usually a raise, on a looser table you usually limp. The difficult lies when the table is inbetween. When if you raise you will get 3 callers and if you limp you will get 3 callers. That is where I have the most difficulty.
