Should I have led out with such a huge bet? Should I have checked/folded? I thought I could represent AK and get them to fold.

I was wrong.

I'd probably have fired out 300 or so, but 400 seems fine too. Sucks, but I would have played it the same.

Yeah, this same person just got caught re-raising someone all in on an AKQ board with 23os.

...

I guess I would have won if I had called, but even A2 had me beat there.

bet 1/2 pot to see where u stand. fold to a riase (like this guy's all-in). if only called, check/fold to the river.

Am i the only one who would abandon the pot and just check/fold?

What are the chances that neither of them has an ace?

If it's even 33%, you're getting the odds to take a shot for half the pot. I'd guess it's probably a little more than that.

Still, with two players in the pot, betting out is going to be high-variance, even if it is +EV.

You don't need them both to not have A. If one of them has A-low they might fold since you showed agression preflop. As long as 400 is a normal bet I think this a good play. I find it works way more often than I'd expect (although I bet the pot).

It's been my experience that if someone calls a decent preflop raise with Ax and an Ace flops they call.

The highest I play are the 50's (mainly 20's ATM) I would guess this doesnt happen as much higher up...
