20 dollar SNG at PP. Blinds are 100 200. 4 left. Hero has 950 chips. Villian is UTG with 2000. Hero is dealt 33.

Dealer: Villian raises [400].
Dealer: Button folds.
Dealer: Hero is all-In [965]
Did I make the correct play here? Obviously, I am afraid of a higher pocket pair. Is that fear warranted?

What are the stack sizes and their position relative to Hero? When are the blinds going up?

Your hand vs. his hand may be a secondary (or even tertiary) concern here.

Quadriary? Quinterary? Sexterary?

Ooh, last one sounds best, go with that.

Agreed, consider my previous post retrospectively edited.

The stack sizes were 2000 for the BB, 2000 for UTG, and 3000 for the button. The blinds are not going up for another 7 hands. Should I have folded and waited for a better hand/oppurtunity?

You fear a call period. At best you are 55-45 favorite in one of those. As others have said stack size matters a lot here. UTG has a good stack so doesn't have to play t his hand. Has he always been minibetting? I tend to see UTG raises a lot with hands that want action. I am guessing you are getting called at least 75% of the time here.

I wasnt really fearing a call as I expected him to call my all in. It was only 400 something more. The table was pretty loose considering it was the bubble. The question is more if I should have played this hand.

If you expect him to call, you should be folding and take your chance pushing with the next chance you get.
