drink it straight, it's the preferred method of us down here in south Louisiana.

As we were discussing yesterday, I like it on corn beef hash. Some other favs, goulash, additional on Jambalaya, chili, all soups.

The Chipolte Tabasco is good too.

Basically if you really want to get the best taste out of tabasco sauce, put it on the food while you are cooking it, and for gods sake, put the bottle in the fridge after you opened it.

Rotten Tobasco Sauce is roughly equivalent to the mid-stages of that Revenge video a few threads down.

well, I don't think it goes rotten, if you don't refridgerate it though it looses a lot of flavor and hotness.

I may be wrong about the rotten part though, but I do know at my parents pad, they have one bottle in the fridge and one in the cupboard, both are opened as well.

It gets really funky, given enough time. And thick. Tobasco sauce should not be thick. It should fit through the dropper.
I may be referencing an extreme circumstance here, I don't know. I have just had some extra nasty tobasco sauce.

this is pretty much true.. i've used some sketchy looking, unrefridgerated tabasco and not gotten sick

ThaSaltCracka

well, I have never noticed it, but maybe we just never had a bottle sit around for a while. The bottle that was in the fridge was a large one and the one in the cupboard was a smaller one. Either way, put the [censored] in the fridge /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Add tobasco sauce to good tomato juice and down it at breakfast - along with a bowl of Wheaties pile high with fresh Rasberries (or rasberry jam if you are like Salt /images/graemlins/blush.gif).

Tobasco is good on sardines and also on meatloaf.

For true expert advice, we all will have to wait for El Diablo's response.

I get sick if I notice the date on the milk is creeping up, so I may not be the one to ask. That's why I buy quarts, and open a new one each day.

I dip celery sticks in it.

Celery is one food you use more energy eating than you actually gain from the food .. dunno if tabasco sauce negates that or not but it's damn good.

This is the answer.

Traditional Tabasco is particularly perfect in any sort of cream-based soup or chowder, like corn chowder or NE clam chowder.

Now, I love Tabasco on just about everything, but one thing that pisses me off is that I can't seem to find the habanero Tabasco they came out with awhile back. It was excellent, really.

I keep traditional Tabasco, green Tabasco, and a large Louisiana Hot Sauce (super salty, but definitely the best suited for any form of barbeque) in my fridge. In the absence of the habanero Tabasco, I find these three adequate to be poured on pretty much anything I might ingest.

I could easily live without the chipotle Tabasco.

If you can eat it, tabasco makes it better.

Beans
Rice
chicken
steak (as a marinade ingredient)
chile
soups
eggs
Ham
pork
salads
etc.

Man, I haven't had a really good Jambalaya in a loooong time. That sounds awesome right now. I'd hope your Jamabalaya is made hot enough where you don't need to add Tabasco though...I'm not a big fan of the stuff anyway. : /
