Less hands per hour and you should be playing almost as tight as you would at HE tables (VP$IP 10-20%).

Personally I 8 table $2/$4 with no problem whatsoever. If I had 3 monitors I'd easily 12 table.

Do you ever make it to potowatomi for the o/8 games on tuesday and thursday?

I have been playing the omaha game for the past few weeks (it's W/Th, not Tuesday). Pretty sure I sat with PokerDork this last Wednesday. The game is obviously pretty good, especially if I am on tilt and throwing my money away. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

When I went around Thanksgiving time it was Tue/Thu.

I usually work till 5-6pm so I don't bother going down there because last time I checked (prolly a thursday) the games were broken up by the time I got down there. Are they running later than afternoons now?

Yea they changed the days a month or so ago because the pot-limit was screwing up the amount of tables available for the godly 2/4 games. Anyways, the games were still dying around 5-6ish 2 weeks ago, but this past week they made it till 10pm. Basically all the games have been fuller, and with the long lists people will jump into the omaha game to pass some time (adding a few hours of longetivity). The night shift dealers have actually been blind-sided a bit, as they haven't had to deal omaha in awhile; hence the games become a little bit slower in the evening. I'm a little intoxicated atm, so I'll apologize for rambling on about something that could have been said in two sentences. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

no...i haven't checked out the omaha game at pota...yet. and probably not in the foreseeable future. however, there is now, according to the board, a pot limit HE game being spread once in a while. that might be worth checking out.

I use omaha 8 as filler when i'm playing in another game that requires a lot of concentration. for example, if i'm playing a 3/6 stud game, i'll open three tables of .50/1 and 1/2 omaha 8- which i play on autopilot as i watch the stud game very carefully. I try to always play 4 tables, considering that i'm usually trying to clear bonuses, and omaha 8, though it doesn't clear those very fast due to the low h/hr, is a great way to fill up on tables when i'm playing stud or a 1/2 NL game.

i rarely ever multitable just omaha8. i only have one monitor and i hate overlapping tables and even four tables of limit O8 bores me to tears.

I usually 4-table $0.5/$1.0 O8 to clear bonuses.

Since PT omaha is out I've dropped down to $.50/$1.00 to get some filler data so I can do some stat work.

Only played 600 hands today but I crushed it for almost 13BB/100 /images/graemlins/smile.gif At 8 tables that's nearly $25/hr.

man, this is the greatest bonus clearing game, I was playing on party and virtually every hand was raked.

Ditto, few low limit O8 pots are not raked. Bonus clearing aside, I think that playing 2-3 O8 tables has a greater EV than playing one. You have enough time here to still get a read on your opponents, but the games move fast enough that you don't get bored, and start inventing reasons to limp in just this once with a marginal hand, like you do playing one-table O8.
