Check it. Good deals this morning:

http://www.techbargains.com/

If this is considered spam, sorry, but the 19" are only $368 w/ free shipping so I thought the multi-tablers would be interested.

I was going to order another one the next time it dropped below $600.

It being $543 (with tax) is just gravy.

I love mine, getting another one would be hot...I would have to plug it into my vid card's extra VGA port (instead of DVI) which would suck, though. So Monitor+Dual DVI vid card gets expensive (and takes up a lot of desk space)...but very tempting.

It's not that bad on VGA. I used my pair like that for a while, but I eventually bought a XFX 6600GT AGP to get better 3D and dual DVI.

Shant, thanks for the lead. I gave in too and ordered one. Just last weekend I bought a 21 inch CRT. It is toooooooo big and heavy. The 2001fb at 749 was out of my price range, your coupon deal made it fit! Thanks again. Needless to say, I will be returning the CRT when the 2001 arrives. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

You guys should note that the $55 coupon ends on the 18th, so don't stall too long if you're on the fence.

Any comment on the 2001FP vs the 2005FPW (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-4111) widescreen version? Both seem to be the same price but the 2005FPW sounds like it has bigger area. This seems like a no-brainer except that everyone sounds like they're getting the 2001FP, so I wonder if I'm missing something.

The 2005FP has more screen area, but the key thing everyone here is looking for is resolution. To 4-table most poker websites without overlap on one screen you need a monitor that can do at least 1600x1200 pixels. The 2001FP does this. The 2005FP has a max resolution of 1680x1050, making it less desirable (for this application, anyway).

Thanks for pointing this out! I totally missed it.

Yeah, if you want widescreen and 4 tabling without overlap, you're gonna have to wait for the 1920x1200 24" 2405FPW at $1200.

The only bad thing about this deal is they wouldn't let me use the coupon twice, hehe.

did you have to pay taxes?

I live in VA and would have had to pay taxes if i got it shipped to my home address. Instead, i got it shipped tax free to my work address in DC /images/graemlins/smile.gif If Dell has operations in your state you are forced to pay the state taxes... i forget which states those are but they have been listed here before.

Thanks OP for the info! Just ordered my 2nd 2001FP! Not excited about another dip in the br, especially since I've been getting spanked at the tables lately, but I'll get the pain over quickly and at a lower price. The 2 should last me a long time.
