I am in the planning stages of a poker-related website right now and am wondering if anyone is familiar with what might go into securing usage rights to the artwork, if necessary. It will have some revenue generators on it, (i hope...), so I would assume that plays a role.

What sort of artwork are we talking about here? In most cases you simply need to contact the artist and either get permission or work something out.

I would not be making $$$ specifically off of the display of the artwork. It would strictly be for decoration, and have nothing to do with the product.

P.S. It would be Salvador Dali Artwork, of course.

this is absolutely not true.

This isn't college, it's a website trying to make money.

You absolutely MUST contact the artist and work something out with them.
