some chump when faced with two all ins said "i cant believe im going to fold my lucky hand". atticus, this proves that poker prophecy will not deter the fish from being so.

was it "any hand with a 4 in it?" cause i was just at a sng with this guy, he played 74, 45, J4 and busted out with 94. then he says "maybe my lucky cards will hold up next tourney," i didnt even know people actually played so called "lucky" cards i just thought they joked about it.

I don't think it comes up online as much, but in a casino it is very common for someone to talk about and actually play their lucky hands. And no one ever says, well, AA is my lucky hand.

This anecdote is worthless without stating whether they held up /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Funniest thing to me is when I push with some "D.D.S." hand (because time & position dictate that I should do so); I get called, neither one improves, I win and the caller says "You A-hole, I knew you were bluffing" /images/graemlins/grin.gif

For what it's worth, the dude folded his 'lucky hand.' Most idiots will play them, win, and THEN say 'that was my lucky hand; I knew I'd win.'

Do you guys realize that you will never get the time back that you spent reading and writing in this thread?

Neither will you. Kind of funny, though.

Even Doyle Brunson has a lucky hand. And AQ is his "unlucky" hand which he refuses to play.

Personally my "lucky" hand is 66. I just love the reaction when someone gets nailed by the evil 666. I still don't cold-call raises with it, though. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
