I've written 1 college paper on what it takes to play poker for a living (this was a few years ago so I came to the wrong conclusion as at the time you couldn't realistically 4+ table Party). Then last year I did a long presentation on Computers and the Ethics of Gambling which was really fun. I looked at various ways people have won $$ using computers as aids or cheating devices, whether what they did was ethical, etc.

I also plan to write a thesis on sports investment, although that has yet to be written or started yet...give me 6 months and ask me how it's going!
