Because anytime you set something down and let it go, you have acted upon it with force. On Earth, it would not wave very much, but there's nothing to stop it from moving on the mooon. Also, it was intentionally deployed to look like it was waving.

Because it's courteous to all posters who read the topic and are interested in the discussion.

You're already making some effort to inform the original poster that he's cluttering up the forum with duplicate posts. A little more effort to provide the link isn't asking much.

You're right about it being courteous to the other posters, but I could care less about being nice to the OP.

I'm sorry, but anyone who starts a thread like his is not getting much sympathy from me.
