BB is a Gus Hansen protege -- raising and bullying people with all kinds of junky hands, but occasionally showing down the goods.

I know my pre-flop bet was too small -- would something like 600 be better here or is this hand too marginal for the bubble?

In that specific scenario, I would fold preflop.

Because we're not the shortstack and we're on the bubble?

I definitely fold PF and since you didn't bet the flop (which is almost as good for you as you can hope for) I fold again on the turn because, at best, you're splitting.

Yes, plus the BB is the big stack. Another reason to tighten up. A2 is crap.

Ok, thanks. Maybe this is why I'm pulling down so many 4ths and 5ths.

I would fold this PF too but if your gonna play it I would just raise all-in since you have less than 10xBB here.

It's hard to steal from a big stack who likes to play flops. Especially with a min raise (what wouldn't he call with?).

autofold. against anyone other than the big stack as the BB you could push, maybe. but i would still probably fold.

I'll add my amateur "I think you blew your load too early" opinion to this thread.

Against the smaller stacks you could just raise it to 500. It's enough to get them to fold or push. If the smallest one pushes, you could call. The other guy you could get away from, tighten up some more, and bear down.

That's not an option in this case, of course.

Fold PF is best option and let sb and bb fight each other. I find min raise against big stack is always bad since the extra chips mean alot to you but nothing to him and you will get called 95% of time anyway. /images/graemlins/cool.gif
