Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, 2$ BB (6 max, 5 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Button ($138.95)
SB ($39.35)
BB ($178.65)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif. MP posts a blind of $3. SB posts a blind of $1.
Hero raises to $8, 3 folds, BB calls $6.

Flop: ($20) J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, T/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $20, BB calls $20.

Turn: ($60) T/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $35, BB calls $35.

River: ($130) K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
BB checks.

The vilain here is very loose preflop (68 % vpip) and moderately aggressive (6 % pfr). He have an average aggressiveness of 2 postflop and he see 21 % of the showdows.

I have two main questions: Was I correct to bet the turn and was the amount right, and should I bet the river for value and how much ?

Not sure how you figure that you can bet the river for value...

Not only is there a pair on the board, but a third diamond fell on the river. You've indicated the strength of your hand btf, on the flop, and on the turn. Easy check behind.

I bet it <25% of the time. Read based. Bet vx calling station.

Raise more preflop.

Betting the turn is debatable.

The river is certainly a check.

Dont you think ne could have QJ, KJ, KQ or AK and call a 40$ or the like bet ?

Easy easy check behind. If you bet, there is a higher chance that you will lose when called, and you will often be raised by better hands and be tempted to call.

I might've gone 15 on the flop and with 1 caller the pot would've been 50 and a bet of 35 would've been good there and then you could check behind.

I checked behind in the hand and he showed me AKo ... Just wanted to know if my play was right.

Can someone explain their basic reasoning behind river and turn play? I think this is my weakest area.
