Playing in a 2-4 game tonight and i got screwed bad. I was up about $25 after the first hour and doing real well, well that stopped with a bang. A new dealer sits down and i was beat out of 3 big pots by runner runner and I accept that this does happens, but i got a real strange feeling. Call it my poker "vibe" if you will. I just sensed something. A few hands later i find poket tens on the button and raise with 3 callers. flop is 9,2,3 rainbow. I bet out to be beat by trips when runner runner 4, 4 came down. Ok I can accep that, it does happen. The very next hand I flopped the nut-straight and was beat out when 2 spades came runner runner, when he showed me the 4 of spades for the pot. This was the same guy as the last hand. I was on tilt bad by now and i mummble something under my breathe abot those damn fours, when the lady sitting next to me ask for the deck to be checked. sure enough there were 53 cards, an extra 4 of spades was revealed.Mega tilt now set in. The floorman said there was nothing he could do but get a new deck. What is the normal policy on this kind of thing? Was I entitled to a refund from the house, hell I pay the rake to get a legit game right? Well i was just blown off and was told "that poker for you" by the foorman. Anyone have any suggestions? well besides beating the crap outta the dealer and floorman? /forums/images/icons/confused.gif Well I look forward to your comments.

I have heard of this happening a lot, and if it were me I would deffinetrly take up my loses with the house, personally I would threaten to move my business to another casino. I have heard that this happens often at commerce in LA, a little more than would make me comfortable playing there.

You don't say where this game is located, but there must be a Gaming commission or some regulatory body. You could report the incident, or possibly use the threat of doing so to gain some leverage with the house. The fact that the same player won with the same extra card both times seems very suspicious. I think collusion between the dealer and that player is a definite possibility.
