Is there a way for me to tell if my graphics card can display 1600x1200 resolution? I run on an old laptop, P3, 1 Ghz, etc. I don't want to buy a new monitor to discover that my graphics card is not sufficient.

This worked for me when I was checking whether my onboard video card would allow 1600x1200 res. Right click on your desktop, go to Properties->Settings->Advanced. There should be a tab there that corresponds to your video card. Click on that tab, then click on Graphics Properties->Information. It should have your current screen res and a list of allowable screen resolutions/graphics modes. Not sure if this will work for you but that's what I did before I got a 2001FP, and it worked fine. hope this helps
